💥As the warm weather approaches, there are more opportunities to spend time outdoors.

We sometimes go on long walks with the family without phones and with hot tea in our backpacks. I would like to share one of our favorite routes with you. (We start from southern Toronto)

💥😇The Humber River Recreational Trail is a popular trail in Toronto that runs along the Humber River, offering picturesque views and opportunities for outdoor activities. Here are some key points about the trail:

🚩Length: The trail stretches for approximately 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) along the Humber River, from Lake Ontario in the south to the northern part of the city.

🚴‍♀️Terrain: The trail features a mix of paved paths and natural surfaces, making it suitable for walking, jogging, biking, and rollerblading.

🌳Scenery: The trail passes through wooded areas, open parks, and along the riverbank. It also passes by historical sites such as the Old Mill.

🐟Wildlife: The Humber River and its surrounding greenery are home to a variety of wildlife, including birds, fish, and small mammals.

🚩Access: The trail is accessible from various points along the river, with parking available at several locations. Public transport also provides access to the trail.

🛶Activities: In addition to walking and biking, the trail is popular for picnicking and fishing. Several parks along the trail offer playgrounds and washrooms.

Overall, it’s a picturesque spot in Toronto where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and relax away from the city’s hustle and bustle. It’s beautiful and enjoyable at any time of the year.

I hope you won’t be disappointed if you decide to spend a day there!
