Moose on the Loose: Canada is known for its wildlife, and sometimes, that wildlife gets a bit too close for comfort. There have been instances where moose have wandered into urban areas, causing a bit of a commotion. In fact, in 2015, a moose made its way into downtown Ottawa and went for a swim in the Rideau Canal!

Legal Dueling: Until 1971, dueling was technically legal in Canada, as it was still included in the Criminal Code of Canada. However, this practice had effectively died out long before it was officially removed from the books. Imagine settling disputes with a duel in modern times!

Poutine: A National Treasure: Poutine is a classic Canadian dish made of french fries topped with cheese curds and smothered in gravy. It's so beloved that in 2016, the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, tweeted that it's his favorite midnight snack.
