Centennial Park is an area that is overall considered an excellent place to live. Below I’ll write why I

say that.

This area is located in the city but is still relatively quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of Toronto.

Centennial Park is located on the western edge of Toronto and is the perfect place for people who want

to live in the city but be steps away from greenery.

The residents are very diverse here; people of various cultures and income levels call Centennial Park

home.

The Centennial Park area was one of the last areas in Toronto where farms were located. It wasn't until

1968 that the Hirons farm was sold to developers. Then the area was fully urbanized.

Most of the houses in the area were built in the 1960s. These houses are located on reasonably large

lots and include bungalows with private driveways, garages, or carports. Two-story homes are situated

in Elmbrook Park, many of them with Tudor accents and steeply pitched roofs.

Centennial Park is a regional park with 525 acres of recreational space. It has indoor hockey arenas, ski

runs, a golf course, a Mini-Indy track (temporarily closed), tennis courts, a 2,200-seat stadium, playing

fields, a kayak pond, picnic areas, and a greenhouse.

Centennial Park is home to the Etobicoke Olympium, a multi-use facility known for its water sports,

calisthenics, and aerobics programs.

It is worth mentioning that local parks in the area include Elmbrook Park, with a large playground, and

the Elmbrook Public Library. Wellsworth Park and Broadacres Park both have children's playgrounds

and baseball fields. Eringate Park has baseball fields, a children's playground, as well as an outdoor

pool.

This area has plenty of things to do!

Shopping is not too far away with Renforth Mall, located at the intersection of Rathburn and Renforth,

you can find many small retail stores over there.

Bus service provides passengers access to Go Transit and TTC stations. There is convenient access to

Highway 427. This highway intersects with the Toronto suburban highway network. Pearson

International Airport is easily accessible, just minutes away from the area.

There are many schools in the area. I have listed some with a good reputation and positive

feedback from residents/my clients from around there:

  • Mill Valley Junior School
  • Briarcrest Junior School (French Immersion Programs)
  • Josyf Cardinal Slipyj Catholic School
  • Mother Cabrini Catholic School

Property price range:

Two-bedroom apartment (condo) rent: ≈ $2,880

The average price for a one-bedroom apartment is $544,500

The average price of a detached house is $1,254,500

If you want more information about the area or other parts of Toronto or Mississauga, I will be happy

to answer all your questions.
